Hello once again Everyone!
I'm back after a long break from blog land and thought I'd share my new mandala with you! :) (Hopefully you're all still out there!)
I decided to experiment today with my new water colour crayons and I absolutely loved them. So easy to use and they blend so well!
I kinda liked it better before I added the red/orange (above) but worked with it anyway, I think it will be fine... ;)
Beginning the basic sketch
So this is where I've left off for the day... got the first inking done. I don't want this one to get overly complicated and detailed and I want to keep the yellow in the center showing through... we'll see how that goes. I also incorporated words for the first time, to convey a positive message/reminder for myself. I'm finding it all too easy to get caught up in all the busyness, drama and general stresses of life these days, so this mandala is to help me focus on what's more important ;) I can't wait to see how it turns out. It feels great to be getting back to making some intuitive art!
I hope all of you in blog land are doing well, I have a lot of catching up to do with all of you! Off to sleep I go... good night! :)

Welcome back Cindy. I like where this mandala is going. I love incorporating words into it too. I will have to get my watercolour crayons out and have a play.

ReplyDeleteAnna, about the watercolour crayons, I just picked up a basic sample pack of Staedtler ones from Micheal's, they are awesome so far and I would definitely like to grab some more colours!
xo's!
